D -14 "PUP" Magneto/Distributor Tester

D -14 "PUP" Features
The new D-14 PUP test bench is for driving magnetos and distributors so as to facilitate their controlled operational testing and adjustment. In order to achieve this, the tester is provided with a bright orange neon flash tube adjacent a circular angular protractor to show the firing pulses of the unit under test.
- Two front panel accessible
power supplies are provided for powering all types of ignition systems
and also in order to trigger modules.
- The standard D-14 PUP is
provided with a one-quarter horsepower DC motor, the CW/CCW rotational
speed of which is variably controlled electronically and digitally
displayed at the front panel between 0 and 5000 rpm. Available also is a
one horsepower DC motor with electronic speed control digitally
displayed at the front panel from 0 to 7500 rpm.
- The magneto or distributor
under test is securely held at two points by steel three jaw chuck at
its base and midway up by a heavy duty adjustable clamp.
- The tester is contained within
a 16 gauge steel cabinet equipped on two sides with recessed spring
loaded handles.
- The power requirements for the
unit is 120v 50/60 HZ amps.
