GT-25 Features

     For HEAVY DUTY testing on full-size vehicles with alternators to 130 amps, the Model GT-25 comes standard with 5 HP, single or three phase motor 208-230 volts, AC 50-60.

     Among the features found in the GT-25, which enable these tests to be conducted are:

  • Two extra large 6-inch, easy to read, jeweled D-Arsonval type, Voltmeter (calibrated for all 6, 12, 24, and 32 volt testing) and Ammeter (covers range of 10-0-100 amps and 30-0-300 amps.  Field current test 0-10 ammeter scale indicates field current.)

  • Heavy Duty motor reversing switch

  • Multiple step pulley (3" and 4" serpentine, provide various speed ranges to duplicate vehicle operating characteristics.)

  • Diode Protection Circuit (Red light warns if lead polarity is reversed.)

  • Special Warning Light and circuit to indicate presence of ripple in output

  • Variable Carbon Pile Load control for producing total output amperage

  • Special Tenzalloy clamping vise with very large steel and neoprene swivel pad for conforming to case surface without marring unit while preventing walking movement during hold down

  • Starter free running test capabilities.

  • Diode-Rectifier Efficiency Test checks diode efficiency before a load run.
